Perhaps an old cliche, but true none-the-less, so instead of writing too much, I’ll rather just say that the point of posting a similar picture to the last one is to show that these boats do not move, and perhaps one day I’ll make a montage of this angle showing just how far our R11 billion of tax payers money goes, barely out of the harbour.

Anyway, let’s go to the beach.

I take pictures from Cape Point all the way up to the Cape Overberg area.

And to think that Thabo Mbeki’s last role as the president of South Africa was the official fleet review in Simon’ s Bay. Not only are these ships a waste of tax payers money, but purchasing new ships to add to the fleet when there is already a shortage of capable personnel to man them is even more ridiculous. Anyway, viva anc, but not this one.

another stormy day in simonstown

Stopped by the beach on the way to work this morning as I have been meaning to update this blog for some time. Another cold front is making its way across the peninsula. Always nice weather before the storm and this recent cold front was perhaps one of the last for the season. I cannot wait for warmer weather, braais, swimming, tanning and just doing all the other things I can in shorts.
