Simonstown offers a good vantage point for watching and photographing the sunrise over False Bay. Perfect for a sleepy photographer like me.

ADDED: Longbeach in Simonstown, perfect for my evening stroll and working off a delicious supper at Bertha’s restaurant.
I’m off to take my daily photo, but thought in the meantime I would leave you with this picture - I photographed this old bouy in one of Simon’s Town’s many antique shops where I’ve found some great treasures including books.

A beautiful view from Runciman Drive in Simonstown (Simon’s Town). This stretch of road is great for walking and running and taking in the magnificent False Bay view. Coastal realestate along this stretch is sought after as the views are amazing and one finds good value for money. Simonstown property information for this area

Oops, missed a day yesterday. However, today is going to be a good day.

Redhill lies above Simonstown. Kleinplaas dam is a favourite spot of mine for walking and swimming.

Simonstown view from Glecairn beach. Another beach day.

Simonstown Golfcourse. A Nice manageble course where you can feel the sea breeze through your hair and spot the occasional penguin playing his shot. The Country club is also well know for its sunday lunch.

It’s just a perfect day. I’ve just come from a swim down at Water’s Edge and the water is amazing, a little cool but so refreshing.

Great posting, it is the most comprehensive coverage of Simonstown I’ve seen in a blog posting. I run a travel South Africa blog, and originally linked to this posting from our 23rd May newsletter on flight prices, and have now placed it in our list of top SA travel postings for 2008.
